We interviewed Anriko about her creation:
Kokka Fabric (KF): What did you think of the fabric you used for this project?
Slightly thin cotton linen bark cloth allows you to create a dress with a large tuck and relaxed silhouette without looking too puffy. Putting in the cute patterns as a main feature, I created a one-piece dress.

KF: Can you tell us any special elements or ideas that you incorporated into this creation?
A wide-open neckline, combined with a stand-up collar off turtle style makes your neckline look beautiful. It even makes your face look smaller. Creating a detailed tuck and pleated treatment often takes an effort,
so, for this piece, it only requires one large diagonal tuck, offering an interesting look.

KF: What are some tips for making this dress?
Attaching the drop shoulder sleeve and sewing body and neckline all at once to create a turtle neck – these are the elements that make it easy for sewing beginners. If you are worried about steady stitching, be mindful when selecting the sewing thread.

KF: How should we use this dress in everyday situations?
For a person around 5’-4” in height, the hem will be roughly around your knees. The sleeve is a little short of full length. You can put it on by itself as a dress, or it looks great layered with an inner long sleeve shirt or a pair of pants underneath.

We interviewed Aiko about her creation:
Kokka Fabric (KF): What did you think of the fabric you used for this project?
A cool looking design also conveys a feel of nostalgia and cuteness. I took these impressions and expressed it as a skirt.

KF: Can you tell us any special elements or ideas that you incorporated into this creation?
I endeavored to be creative with a simple and easy-to-follow pattern so that it can motivate sewing beginners to try this project. With an elastic band inserted in the higher portion above the waistline, it creates a cute puffy design. The belt and skirt have an angled cut, incorporating a cool stylish element.

KF: What are some tips for making this skirt?
It is relatively easy to sew as there are no tricky curve stitches. Don’t get too comfortable with simple straight stitching, otherwise the fabric starts to misalign little by little. Stop being too lazy and use lots of pins. This way the fabric stays aligned and you will have a nice clean finish.

KF:How should we use this skirt in everyday situations?
The waist, being the key design element of this skirt, I would like you to enjoy the style coordination by tucking in the tops inside. Changing the colors of your shirt gives a different impression. I recommend wearing a petticoat underneath as the skirt is not lined.

We interviewed Yui about her creation:
Kokka Fabric (KF): What did you think of the fabric you used for this project?
The lovely embroidery throughout the fabric feels richer in tone than a printed fabric. I wanted to use as much area as possible with embroidery, so the bag ended up being large.
I also tried to create something rough and not too structured, while retaining the texture. Using remnants which still has lots of embroidery, you can make matching small items, like a pouch.

KF: Can you tell us any special elements or ideas that you incorporated into this creation?
It is a casual one handle bag with ample room for carrying things. The gold ring makes this bag look more mature and keeps the items from falling out of the bag.

KF:What are some tips for making this bag?
It is simple to make as long as you follow the correct sewing sequence!
When sewing the bag portion, please be careful not to accidentally sew the handle together.

KF: How should we use this bag in everyday situations?
This large bag with eye-catching color is casual, so it will be perfect for a relaxed and simple style of clothing.

KF:hank you very much, Yui! Here are sewing instructions along with step by step photos from her. Enjoy crafting!

We interviewed Anriko about her creation:
Kokka Fabric (KF): What did you think of the fabric you used for this project?
Taking advantage of the asymmetrical bold design layout, I tried to create an interesting look in the front, which appears simpler than the style in the back.

KF: Can you tell us any special elements or ideas that you incorporated into this creation?
As gauze fabric is not easy to sew smoothly, it is actually suitable for a design like this cardigan that does not have defined shoulders. The cotton 100% material does not accentuate the linear form of your body, but it will present a soft and cute impression.

KF:What are some tips for making this cardigan?
Double gauze is not a simple fabric to sew. So I recommend ironing prior to machine sewing and use plenty of pins to keep the fabric from misaligning.

KF: How should we wear this cardigan in everyday situations?
This cardigan’s very wide waistline is tightened with the ribbon. Depending on how you pull the ribbon – only in the back center, very tightly or loosely – it can create a different look. It will be fun trying to find your favorite style.
