This small drawstring bag can hold all the items you want to carry with you, like your cellphone, glasses, and lip balm. It’s handy to use as a bag-in-bag when you’re out and about. The fabric used for this bag is a textile designed by the pottery artist, Mishakosha. The design features cute illustrations of flowers, butterflies, and ceramics, reminiscent of a scene from a fairy tale. Being slightly thin cotton sheeting, this fabric is ideal for making bags, pouches, and other small items.

Materials:
- Fabric: 100cm x 65cm
- Quilt Batting: 65cm x 30cm
- Waxed Cord: 0.3cm diameter x 1.4m

Instructions
Preparations
Cut the fabric pieces according to the measurement.
1.
Fold the pocket opening by 1cm into thirds and sew.
2.
Layer the pocket fabric over the front side of the lining fabric. Sew along the curve to secure.
3.
Layer the quilt batting over the reverse side of the outer fabric and sew to secure.
4.
Fold the handle in four and sew.
5.
Baste the handle on the top side of the outer fabric.
6.
With the front sides facing each other, sew together the outer and lining fabrics at the top opening.
7.
Open the piece from step 6. Put together the outer fabrics and lining fabrics respectively. Sew together, leaving 6cm unsewn in the center.
8.
Fold the seam of the unsewn portion (6cm) and sew to secure. If difficult to sew by machine, do it by hand.
9.
Cut a notch along the seam of the curve.
10.
Turn the bag inside out. Insert the lining bag into the outer bag, and apply two lines of stitches along the top opening.
11.
Insert the waxed cord alternately and tie the ends.
12.
Finished!
