Oval Bag – Free Sewing Tutorial

*All Rights Reserved. Please refrain from the unauthorized use of project photos.

The featured project is an oval-shaped bag with four outer pockets. By covering the bottom and side seams with bias binding strip, it creates a solid shape allowing the bag to stand firmly on its own. Besides using it as a bag, it can also serve as a small item organizer. The fabric used for this bag is from the “ANIMAL BREAD” series, a fun design piece with cat-shaped bread motifs. Easy-to-sew and perfect for bag making, this 100% cotton oxford is just the right material for sewing beginners.
