The fabric used for this bag is the fourth collaboration between Kokka and Paper Message, a paper goods store in Kochi that explores the charm of paper and printing. The outer fabric features a design of birds in a cozy forest called “birdhouse,” while the lining fabric showcases a design called “Skip,” which makes rainy days more enjoyable. Both are made from 100% cotton sheeting, an easy-to-sew fabric that is ideal for sewing beginners.

Materials:
- Fabric (Outer Fabric, Handle): 100cm x 50cm
- Fabric (Lining Fabric, Inner Pocket): 100cm x 60cm
- Fusible Interfacing: 90cm x 70cm
Size: 32cm (l) 33cm (w – at opening) 25cm (bottom) 8cm (gusset)
Instructions
1.
Adhere fusible interfacing on the back of the body outer fabric, pocket outer fabric and handle.
2.
Sew the handle.
3.
With the front sides facing each other, sew together the outer fabrics at one side.
4.
Attach the pocket to the outer fabric.
5.
Make an 8cm gusset.
6.
Attach the inner pocket to the lining fabric.
7.
Sew together the gusset of the outer bag and lining bag.
8.
Turn the bag inside out using the opening for turning.
9.
Apply stitches around the top opening.
