This tote bag with a drawstring closure features fabrics designed by “Paper Message” for both outer and lining. The “Kabin No Tana (Shelf of Vases)” on the outer side introduces an illustration inspired by the shelves in the home of a grandma who likes lovely things, and is highlighted by a row of impactful large motifs. The lining fabric, “Hana No Zukan (Illustrated Book of Flowers),” reminds you of an illustrated book with a random arrangement of flowers in a single vase. Both are 100% cotton sheeting.

- Fabric (Outer Fabric, Handle): 110cm wide x 50cm
- Fabric (Lining Fabric, Pocket, Cord): 110cm wide x 50cm
- Fusible Interfacing: 90cm x 40cm

Instructions
1.
Make the cord (picture shown) and handle.
2.
Make two pieces of cord as shown. Also make two pieces of handle.
3.
Attach the pocket to the lining fabric.
4.
Baste the handle with 5mm seam. Bring the edges up 1cm and leave 10cm open in the center.Then, with the front sides facing each other, sew together the outer and lining fabrics at the top opening.
5.
Press down the top opening seam to the outer fabric side. With the front sides facing each other layer the outer fabrics and lining fabrics respectively and sew together at both sides.
6.
When sewing the side of the outer fabric, leave 2cm unsewn for cord opening.For the lining fabric, leave about 12cm unsewn for opening for the turning.
7.
Sew the gusset.
8.
Sew the gusset. Fold 1cm on the side of the bag.
9.
Sew the opening for the cord.
