Instructions

Prepare the materials
Outer Fabric, Lining Fabric, Fusible Interfacing - 23cm (l) x 28cm(w), two pieces each. One 20cm zipper. Two pieces of 6cm long 2cm wide twilled tape. Adhere fusible interfacing on the back of the outer fabric. -

With the front sides facing each other, sew together the zipper and outer fabric with 0.5cm seam allowance. With the front sides facing each other, sew together with the lining fabric with 0.7cm seam allowance.

Align the seam and press with an iron. Apply stitches at 0.2cm from where the zipper is attached.

Repeat the same process for the other side of the zipper.

Press with an iron and apply stitches from the front.

With the front sides facing each other, sew together the outer fabrics and lining fabrics at the bottom respectively. On the lining fabric side, leave an opening for turning. Press the seam open using the iron. (Repeat the same process for the lining fabric.)

Align the bottom stitch line of the fabric piece from Step 6 and the center of the zipper. Mark where it is folded.

With the front sides facing each other, place the twilled tape folded in half at both ends of the zipper. Baste the pieces.

Match the markings from step 7 and sew for 1cm to secure.

Spread open the fabric, align the stitch lines neatly and fold. Sew both sides with 1cm seam allowance.

Turn it inside out using the opening for turning. Close the opening and align the shape to finish.
