Cut the fabric and prepare the materials. Since this is a one-piece design, sewing a zigzag stitch or using a serger around all edges will prevent the fabric from fraying and ensure a clean finish.

Sew the bottom piece to the main body, pressing down the seam allowance to the bottom piece, then stitch from the front side.

Sew the back piece to the bottom fabric in the same way. If using patterned fabric, pay attention to the direction of the pattern when sewing.

For the opening fabric, fold the left and right (short edges) 1 cm toward the inside and stitch them in place, then fold the band in half with the front sides facing outside.

Sew the opening fabric to the main body, fold the opening fabric up, press down the seam allowance to the main body, and stitch from the front side.

Fold one long edge and one short edge of the ruffle fabric 0.5 cm and stitch them in place. Then, make two basting stitches on the unfolded long edge to gather the fabric. Place the basting stitches 0.5 cm and 1.3 cm from the fabric edge. Changing the thread color makes it easier to see and helps the process go more smoothly.

Gather the ruffle fabric, then sew it to the main body, leaving a 0.5 cm spacing at the top and bottom. Sew between the two basting stitches, 0.7 cm from the fabric edge.

If desired, pull out the threads around the edges to create fringe. Sew one basting stitch to lightly gather the fabric, then sew it to the main body. Cut off the brand tag from the fabric edge and apply stitches 0.5 cm from the edge to prevent fraying.

With the front sides facing each other, fold the main body in half, fold the bottom edge 2.5 cm toward the body, and sew the left and right sides.

Turn it right side out, smooth out the gusset, thread the cord through, and you are done!
