This is a zippered pouch with a handle. Three inner pockets will allow you to neatly store hard-to-find small items. The fabric used for this bag is [tree dot], a collaboration textile with the popular apparel brand marble SUD. Animals can be seen peeking out from between the round trees that look like dots. Made of cotton and linen sheeting, it is easy to sew and perfect for bags and small items.

Materials:

  • Fabric (Panel Outer Fabric, Pocket): 50cm x 25cm
  • Fabric (Bottom Outer Fabric, Lining Fabric): 50cm x 30cm
  • Cotton Tape: 1.5cm wide x 68cm
  • Flat Knit Zipper: 20cm long x 1

Instructions

Preparations

Cut the fabrics according to the measurements.

1.

Cut the cotton tape to 34cm. Attach it to the outer fabric.

2.

With the front sides facing each other, sew together the bottom outer fabric and outer fabric from step 1. ・Make two pieces.

3.

Press down the seam to bottom outer fabric side and apply stitches.

4.

With the front sides facing each other, fold the pocket fabric in half and sew the pocket opening side.

5.

Turn it inside out and apply stitches on the pocket opening side.

6.

Attach the pocket to the lining fabric and sew the partitions.

7.

With the front sides facing each other, sew together the outer and lining fabrics at 0.7cm from the edge, with the zipper in between. Start from the fabric end with the zipper top and sew 1.5cm. Put the zipper end to the side (both top and end of the zipper) and sew all the way.

8.

Fold the outer fabric and lining fabric respectively. Press down the zipper end seam to the outer fabric side. Element side of the zipper is pressed down to the lining fabric sides. Sew both side ends. Leave an opening for turning on the lining fabric side. Avoid the pocket when creating an opening for easier sewing later.

9.

Turn the bag inside out and close the opening for turning. Fold the handle in half and apply stitches for approximately 15cm.
