Fluffy Bag – Free Sewing Tutorial
This rounded bag makes the most of the softness of double gauze. Layering the quilting batting and adding tucks at the bottom creates a plump shape. The fabric used for this bag is MUDDY WORKS’ [White Kerria]. It features a refreshing pattern where white stands out against a blue background. Since it is double gauze, it is also ideal for clothes making.

How to Make a Fluffy Bag
-

Cut the fabrics according to the measurement.
-

Place the quilt batting on the lining side of the outer fabric and sew around the edges with a zigzag stitch.
-

Mark the inside of the outer fabric and lining fabric.
-

Fold along the marked line, then sew a 3cm-wide strip for 10 cm.
-

Fold the tuck toward the center and sew it in place.
-

With the front sides facing each other, fold the fabric in half and sew the two sides. Leave an opening on the lining fabric. Sew the bottom edge with a 10 cm gusset, trim the excess, and finish the edge with a zigzag stitch.
-

Fold the handle in quarters and sew it.
-

With the front sides facing each other, place the outer and inner bags together with the handles in between, and sew along the top edge.
-

Turn it inside out and close the opening. Sew all the way around the edge of the opening.
-

Fold the long edges of the cord opening fabric toward the center, fold both edges in 2 cm, and sew them to the main body.
-

Insert the cords through the opening alternately and tie the ends.
