The fabric used for this bag is from echino’s embroidery fabric [Branch]. The density and expression of the straight branches and flowers are so fascinating that you will want to look at every detail of this embroidery. The fabric is a relatively thin cotton linen sheeting. It is suitable not only for clothing, but also for a wide range of interior décor and kitchen items such as reusable bags, pouches, and covers for home décor items.

Kokka Fabric (KF): What did you think of the fabric you used for this project?
The idea of making a simple gathered skirt that is even easy to make for sewing beginners came first. As I was looking for a fabric, this piece caught my eye. The embroidery is perfectly balanced, making it ideal for skirts that can showcase the entire fabric. Additionally, I thought the luxurious feel of the embroidery would stand out on a simple design.

KF: Can you tell us any special elements or ideas that you incorporated into this creation?
For this, you cut the fabric along the lines directly drawn on the fabric without the process of pattern making. The waist is folded and elastic is inserted through the sewn waistline, so the only parts needed are the front and back skirts.

KF: What are some tips for making this skirt?
The embroidery is softly stitched, so it is not particularly difficult to sew over embroidered areas, but when doing so, it is best to operate the sewing machine slowly. You can adjust the length of the skirt as desired.

KF: How should we incorporate this skirt into one’s styling?
y incorporating the gentle impression of the embroidery pattern, you can enjoy a pretty feminine look. Wearing it casually with a T-shirt and sneakers is also recommended.
