This lovely triangle shaped Boston bag features the Bird on the ball, a bird motif print from the echino standard series. Applied on the side, the solid fabric from the Solid series is a perfect color match with the echino’s print fabric. We interviewed Yui about her creation:
Kokka Fabric (KF): What did you think of the fabric you used for this project?
The distinct color and large motifs are unique and stylish. I came up with a unique triangular Boston bag, featuring the bird design as a focal point.
KF: Can you tell us any special elements or ideas that you incorporated into this creation?
Since the overall size of the triangle becomes smaller than a square bag, I allowed for an ample gusset so that the bag becomes more practical in size. This distinct bag is self-standing Boston shaped, making it convenient.
KF: What are some tips for making this bag?
When sewing together the fabric transitions, make sure to use clips or baste the pieces to avoid misalignment.
KF: How should we use this bag in everyday situations?
This is quite an eye-catching bag. You will definitely find it useful whether it is for everyday or for a dressed-up outing.
KF: Thank you very much, Yui! Here are sewing instructions along with step by step photos from her. Enjoy crafting!
