This mini bag has a cute round shape with an embroidered and very lovable crab motif. It can also be used as a pouch for cosmetics and stationery. The featured textile is CRAB from the +HAyU fabric. It is double gauze with embroidery.
We interviewed Yui about her creation:
Kokka Fabric (KF): What did you think of the fabric you used for this project?
The crab motif is very unique and cute. I turned it into a micro bag with this impactful motif. The gentle touch of the double gauze is wonderful, and the color combination with the embroidery is all so stylish that I also wanted to make more in other colors.
KF: Can you tell us any special elements or ideas that you incorporated into this creation?
It is a very small bag, so you can’t put a long wallet in it, but I love how lovely it looks when you hold it. It can also be used as a pouch with handles for things like cosmetics or stationery in it.
KF: What are some tips for making this bag?
The areas with curves should be stitched slowly, and if you are not confident, please baste it first.
KF: How should we incorporate this bag into one’s styling?

Even an ordinary tote bag with a standard shape can have a feminine look with the addition of frills. It can also become a stylish element for your outing wardrobe. The featured fabric is from the “fairy tale” series. The lovely mermaid princess pattern covers the entire fabric. The 100% cotton sheeting is easy to sew and recommended for sewing beginners.

Yellow fabric and blue-green fabric. This reversible bag allows you to choose the color depending on your mood or wardrobe. The echino’s double gauze collection, [tansan] is featured. The fabric’s handwritten touch is fun, and the small dots are the key to its cuteness.

Kokka Fabric (KF): What did you think of the fabric you used for this project?
Beautiful colors, and a neat pattern with sharp lines! The little dots scattered around are lovely, like calm shimmering lights. Taking advantage of the gentleness of the double gauze and the beauty of the colors and patterns, tucks and gathers are added to create a soft and fluffy bag.
KF: Can you tell us any special elements or ideas that you incorporated into this creation?
In order to make the most of the gentleness of gauze, I paid attention to the gathers around the opening. I used a gray linen fabric with plenty of gathers to create a nuanced feel. To make it fluffy, a quilt batting is inserted to give it a solid shape. Another feature of note is that it is reversible.
KF: What are some tips for making this bag?
When sewing the gathered part together with the bag body, the fabric will overlap a lot, so please operate the sewing machine slowly. This time, I used plain gray linen, but I think it would also be cute if you make it with the same gauze.
KF: How should we incorporate this bag into one’s styling?
It is reversible, so you can enjoy it according to your outfit of the day. The small size and soft material make it handy to carry along with large luggage.

This is a round tote bag with a cute, circular shape. The featured fabric is from the “Delicious Animals” series. Cute animals are peeking out of the buns, together with strawberries and oranges.
