Atlanta, USA resident and quilter Ellen Baker’s new fabrics are here. The collection is very stylish and carries over a metallic taste of charmes, her last collection.
“The Monochrome collection was inspired by color — shades of one color are featured in each print. Color, shape, and simplicity come together with touches of metallic gold and metallic silver in these fabrics.” (by Ellen Baker) This collection features six designs, three double gauze prints and three cotton/linen prints. Three double gauze prints are featured in today’s column. “The double gauze cotton with a smaller-scale print is ideal for clothing, baby items and quilts.” (by Ellen)
Small Cranes comes in three colors – blue green, plum and charcoal gray. A geometric design with repeated small cranes is versatile and can be used for many items like clothing.
Circles features three color combinations – navy, mint green and silver mix, and charcoal gray and gold. The double gauze’s light and soft texture, and a scattered circle design are perfect for making garments.
Silver, white and gold are featured in Points. With white and natural color as a background, a delicate illustration in gold, silver and white expresses a subtle nuance. Soft texture and a tender feel will be great for various sewing projects like curtains and clothing.
