We interviewed Anriko about her creation:
Kokka Fabric (KF): What did you think of the fabric you used for this project?
Very delicate and beautiful fabric with nicely knitted stitches. This fabric transforms a simple design into something stylish. Though the knitted stitches are rough, with low tension, it is easier to handle for somebody who is not used to treating a knit material.

KF: Can you tell us any special elements or ideas that you incorporated into this creation?
A long cardigan comes in very handy in early fall before you start wearing a thick heavy outer wear. The long length sometimes adds extra work when creating a pattern, cutting and sewing. So, I came up with something that is easy to make without any patterns and requiring only straight stitching.

KF: What are some tips for making this cardigan?
The sewing process is not that difficult, but cutting may be a little challenging. As this fabric is a Jacquard knit and not a print, it is easy to identify the alignment. Check the pattern on the fabric for an easy cutting.

KF: How should we incorporate this cardigan into one’s styling?
The model’s size is 158cm/9AR. I also made a sample cardigan with a shorter length, and it looks nice and attractive, too. To change the length, just cut the fabric shorter, parallel to the hem. Choose the length that looks good with the bottoms you like to wear.

KF: Thank you very much, Anriko! Here are sewing instructions along with step by step photos from her. Enjoy crafting!

We interviewed Masumi about her creation:
Kokka Fabric (KF): What did you think of the fabric you used for this project?
It features a very girly design, so I wanted to create something that reminds you of a dress.

KF: Can you tell us any special elements or ideas that you incorporated into this creation?
There is no elastic at the waist in the front. This way it does not look voluminous. The wide lace trim accentuates the girly feel.

KF: What are some tips for making this skirt?
As it only requires straight stitching, it is easy to create a different look by adjusting the skirt length.

KF: How should we incorporate this skirt into one’s styling?
Why not making a matching head dress for more girly and lovely style.

KF: Thank you very much, Masumi! Here are sewing instructions along with step by step photos from her. Enjoy crafting!

For kids, why not try making a bustier-style tops. It’s a trendy item rapidly gaining in popularity, and can be enjoyed for all seasons. It’s a must-have-item for fashion conscious kids. We interviewed Naomi about her creation:
Kokka Fabric (KF): What did you think of the fabric you used for this project?
As the name Gothic Lolita represents, the combination of classic plaid and sweet lace print create a fresh and lovely look. This twill material has a thickness yet is soft and easy to sew.

KF: Can you tell us any special elements or ideas that you incorporated into this creation?
I came up with an easy pleat making process by utilizing the spacing between the plaid design. To make the size flexible, an adjuster is attached to the shoulder strap and elastic on the back waist. Adding an adjuster makes this skirt look like a ready-made product.

KF: What are some tips for making this bustier?
It has many square parts. Make sure to align the plaid design and cut along the plaid lines.

KF: How should we incorporate this bustier-style top into one’s styling?
Pair it with a simple T-shirt or plain cotton jersey shirt, and you are instantly in style. It can also go well with a pair of denim, wide-cut pants or shorts. For fall and winter, enjoy it by mixing and matching with a knitwear.

KF: Thank you very much, Naomi! Here are sewing instructions along with step by step photos from her. Enjoy crafting!
