We interviewed Anriko about her creation:
Kokka Fabric (KF): What did you think of the fabric you used for this project?
A variety of motifs are scattered around in different color variations. I thought featuring these motifs would be lovely, so I came up with this three-layered sacoche.
KF: Can you tell us any special elements or ideas that you incorporated into this creation?
For a sacoche, it is slightly large with a width perfect for storing a long wallet and a smartphone side by side. The grosgrain ribbon on the sides are attached with fabric adhesive, making it easy for those who are not good at a piping finish method.
KF: What are some tips for making this bag?
The process itself is not difficult. What is important for a nice, clean finish is the first step, cutting. Make sure to find the straight grain and cut the fabric to the exact size. This results in a perfectly sized bag.
KF: How should we use this bag in everyday situations?
While it is still too cold to dress for spring, carrying this cheery and colorful bag will put you in a merry mood. Among the dark tones of winter clothing, the color of this bag will add a nice accent.
KF: Thank you very much, Anriko! Here are sewing instructions along with step by step photos from her. Enjoy crafting!
